BYOB & Friends!

Ceilidh event poster 17th may 2019

Join Iron Broo in one of Aberdeen’s most intimate venues, the St.Margaret’s Hall on the Gallowgate, for a fantastic evening of ceilidh and merriment!
St. Margaret’s hall is an excellent spot for a traditional village-style ceilidh with a great atmosphere. There’s no public bar available but you can bring your own refreshments and snacks, including alcoholic drinks.
Families welcome.

Doors open from 7.30.

Ceilidh from 8 p.m. till 11.30 p.m.
Helping raise funds for Aberdeen CND.

CND campaigns non-violently to rid the world of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction and to create genuine security for future generations.

CND opposes all nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction: their development, manufacture, testing, deployment and use or threatened use by any country.

Our next public Ceilidh performances.

Most of our ceilidh performances are private. However, we often play at, or even organise some that are open to the public.  On this page we will keep up to date info on any events that we organise, or any where people have asked us to help with the advertising if their event is open to the public.   We also post and share public events on our Facebook pages, therefore it is a good idea to ‘Like’ our Facebook page as well, that way you might see one of our ceilidh events appearing in your newsfeed.    In some cases we can sell tickets online or provide details in the ad on who to contact if you wish to attend.  We hope you do. We need as many dancers as we can get.  Don’t worry if you don’t know what you are doing.  All will be revealed at the ceilidh.

Christmas Ceilidh tickets now available

christmas ceilidh 2018

Celebrate in true Scottish style with friends, family or colleagues.

Join us in December for a ‘cracker’ of a Christmas Ceilidh. The perfect way to de-stress before the Elves deliver their presents and Santa slides down yer lum.

We have chosen the iconic Star Ballroom at the Beach Ballroom for our Christmas ceilidh as we love the venue.  It’s intimate and has a lovely view over the sea on a winter night and the Chef makes some of the best Stovies and Macaroni in town.  Enough to keep Santa satisfied and left with a warm glow.

Dances will be called. No experience necessary.
Works parties and Children welcome.   Doors open 7.30pm
Dancing from 8pm – Stovies or Macaroni included during the half time break – Band finish 11.30pm.  Bar will close at midnight.
