The Festival Waltz.

We are still in Lockdown in Aberdeen due to the Covid pandemic. Brendan and I decided to embrace technology and have a duet tune on accordion and mandolin anyway. This is our first attempt at a lockdown video after seeing many people do a similar idea. The music is called the ‘Festival waltz’ and was written by the reputable Kenny Baker, Jazz/Bluegrass fiddle player from the United States of America, who toured with Bill Monroe. https://www.britannica.com/biography/Kenny-Baker. It sounds great on mandolin and also lends itself well to a waltz on the accordion. I understand it was written as competition piece for violin, probably at a music festival, hence the title “Festival Waltz”
