Meet the Musicians:

Charlie Abel takes charge of the accordion with midi bass and piano chords, while simultaneously providing percussion via a foot-stomper. Fred Wilkinson brings the rhythm with his skillful handling of the Bouzouki.

Our Ceilidh duo has big sound for a two piece and it is all played live. We don’t use backing tracks, it’s 100% played live.

Recognition from Aberdeen City Council

Our very own Iron Broo ceilidh Duo. Charlie Abel and Fred Wilkinson, who have both been recognised by Aberdeen City Council for their music. In 2015 Charlie became a “Burgess of the City of Aberdeen” and in 2018 Fred was also welcomed as a Burgess of the city of Aberdeen.

Ceilidh + Disco

A popular combination is our ceilidh duo with the disco option. Great for weddings or any events where there is a mix of tastes and you need to have your entertainment covered for a longer time.
